Monsters and Aberrations

"There are those beyond our ken, and those best kept there."

Overview

The Monster and Aberration role is a catch-all role for anything beyond the scope of the other races presented for selection. These would generally be one-off creatures, either intelligent or not, that should make a splash on the sim. As a result, all Monster and Aberration roles are also required to take a Force for Chaos role - these should be splashy creatures that make a big impact on the sim.

Notes

  • While there is large latitude on what this role can be, characters must fit the setting. As part of this, nothing specific to another setting will be allowed, but characters inspired by other settings can be workshopped. 

  • Characters must also be a Force for Chaos - this will be handled in the same application.

  • Depending on the character type, this role may not be able to be resurrected by player characters (including their Force for Chaos lieutenants). 

Role Examples

  • A young (horse sized) dragon that's establishing a new hunting ground.

  • A celestial who has come to purge the land ahead of a promised people.

  • A dryad who is here to fiercely protect the woods. 

  • A hydra that is seeking a new lair.

  • ​A gorgon raging against the world after the loss of her blind lover.

  • ​A magical construct freed from the oppression of his master, bent on liberating objects.
