Gods and Religions

Orcrest is a setting filled with spirituality and religion, so much so that it is odd to not have a belief in a divine. On this page you will find the common religions and forms of worship in Orcrest, as well as the most common heresies present in the land.

Note: Worship of gods not in this list is not permitted in Orcrest, but worship of canon gods in unique ways is acceptable as a small scale or personal deviation.

Standard and Requirements

  • Characters in Orcrest may choose a religion from the list below.

  • Characters may not invent a new god or import a god from another setting into Orcrest.

  • Characters do not have to choose a religion, and may be atheist, agnostic, or otherwise religiously flexible.

Imperialists

What is the measure of a god? Is it to inspire a tinkerer? To watch a plant grow? To feast with the maggots? No. A god empowers, a god conquers, a god smites. There is but one god that has lead our people, but one that has helped us carve an empire into the realms of man.

Not all religions are large and widely accepted. Many beliefs simmer in a populace, spoken in hushed tones or behind closed doors. Many others fall from the lips of intellectuals, madmen, or both.
